Thoughtfully Designed. Carefully Built.

From custom treehouses and play-focused decks to suspension bridges, treenets, and arborist-led construction, every project we take on is shaped by the trees, the site, and how people will use the space.

Below, you’ll find both what we build — and how we bring it to life.

Tree-Based Structures, Thoughtfully Built

We don’t just build structures — we create places that invite imagination.
Designed for play, gathering, and time spent together above the ground.

Treehouses & Treehomes

A treehouse can be just about anything you want it to be. In this case, I’m talking anywhere from full blown live-able treehouses, to a kids-centric playhouse style. Suspended geodesic structures, or classy cabins in the trees - we can build it. As climbing arborists and carpenters, the treehouse construction process is the perfect puzzle of rigging and design, all with tree health and longevity as top priority. The inspiration and passion is endless!

Tree Care

Good Nature Treehouse doubles as a full service tree care company. Any trees in the build zone will always be assessed, and the treehouse host trees can be cared for and monitored to accomodate any building activity. I am a proud and passionate Certified Arborist!

Tree Decks & Play sets

Raised play spaces where kids climb, build worlds, and let their imaginations run — a space to climb, invent games, and spend long afternoons outside, while staying close enough for adults to gather and keep an eye on the fun. Tree decks can be a great option to get a proper treehouse experience, with significantly lower build costs than live-able structures.

Suspension Bridges & Treenets

Bridges are TOO much fun, and create a magical entrance to a treehouse. Bridges can also be necessary for other practical uses such as stream/river crossings for foot traffic. We absolutely love building bridges, and all the fun rigging that comes with the process.

Treenets have swept the nation in popularity over the last 5 years. They are so cool, cozy, and a lower cost, lower profile way to lounge in the trees. They can be installed at ground level, and are a comfy human spider web - complete with walls.

A Thoughtful Process, From First Call to Final Climb

Every project begins with a conversation. From there, we travel to your site to understand the trees, terrain, and vision firsthand. Using LiDAR scanning and photogrammetry, we create full-scale 3D models of the host trees. This allows us to design with accuracy, resolve details early, and plan construction before a single piece of lumber is cut.

As certified arborists, tree health and longevity are paramount. We use industry-leading Treehouse Attachment Bolts (TABs) and professional rigging systems that allow trees to grow naturally around the structure while improving safety, efficiency, and precision. Whenever possible, materials are sourced locally — helping each build feel connected to its place.

Timeline & Scale

Good Nature Treehouse operates as a focused, hands-on studio. That allows us to be highly responsive, adaptable, and closely involved in every phase of a project.

Project timelines vary depending on scope and location, but our approach emphasizes thoughtful planning and efficient execution. In some cases, when schedules align, builds can move from initial contact to completion in a relatively short window.

We work with a range of project scales, from simpler backyard play structures to more complex, multi-element builds. Travel projects include additional planning and logistics, which are accounted for clearly and transparently from the start.

Rather than fixed packages or preset minimums, each project is scoped individually — ensuring the design, timeline, and investment align with the vision and the site.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes. We travel for both consultation and construction. Although based in Lake Tahoe, we build all over the country. Your quote will include travel and accommodation.

  • Timelines depend on scope, location, and complexity. After an initial conversation and site visit, we’ll provide a realistic schedule based on your specific project.

  • Every project is custom. Costs are based on design complexity, materials, location, and logistics. We discuss budget early and clearly so expectations are aligned from the beginning.

  • Absolutely. Safety and tree health are core priorities. All structures are designed with professional arborist standards, engineered attachment systems, and a deep understanding of how kids move and play.

  • Often, yes. For many projects, our crew stays nearby during construction. This allows us to work efficiently and remain closely connected to the site throughout the build.

  • When appropriate, yes. Prefabricating components can improve precision, safety, and efficiency before elements are raised into the trees.

Symbiotic Dreams, Realized

When a project is complete, clients often say, “This is a dream come true.”
What they don’t always see is that it’s ours too. That shared excitement — the moment imagination becomes reality — is what keeps us climbing higher.
